You, Your Money…and Puppies

When we talk to someone with a puppy, we ask all sorts of questions: Where did you get it? When did you get it? How long have you had it?

These are basically the same questions we ask about someone with a lot of money.

What does money have to do with puppies? Both connect to the deepest parts of who we are.

Many people find physical, mental, emotional, and psychological comfort just from looking at their puppies. Some people get all those forms of discomfort just from thinking about their money.

Walking with puppies can break down barriers between strangers. Talking about money can build up barriers between family members.

Spending time with puppies can help people recover from trauma. Spending time with significant others learning how they think about money can help couples avoid trauma.

And on and on…

I just finished reading Cold Hard Truth on Men, Women & Money by Kevin O’Leary (from the ABC show, Shark Tank). It’s one of the better books I’ve read in a while about keeping the money you make, paying off the money you owe, and protecting the money you have.

Get the book. Read the book.

At this point, I should state that don’t know Mr. O’Leary, and I’m not getting paid to promote his book. However, I am all about promoting any information that will help people free themselves from the economic chains that bind them. True to his TV persona, Kevin’s book is blunt, honest, real talk from start to finish. I’m not saying if you buy this book all your money issues will go away overnight…but if you read this book, you definitely will find a better way to move forward.

That said, I realize many people really don’t like talking about their money…but most people REALLY like puppies. So, I wondered what would happen if we combined powerfully cute pictures of puppies with powerfully useful tips for handling money?

See for yourself…a few of my favorites quotes from the book…brought to you by a few of my favorite puppies from the internet…
